| Mark Mason, Ph.D. Speaker Bio:At Basis Technology, in Cambridge, Massachusets, Dr. Mason is responsible for developing business strategies for leading American "dot coms" entering Japan and other East Asian markets. Previous to Basis Technology, Dr. Mason has worked as a management consultant, analyzing business environments of Japanese and other East Asian markets, and their commercial implications for foreign firms. He has developed firm-specific market access strategies for such clients as: ARCO, Caterpillar, IBM, and The Export-Import Bank of Japan. At Georgetown
University, Dr. Mason is responsible for research in Foreign Investment, Multinational Corporations, Japan and East Asia. Previous to Georgetown, Dr. Mason was an Associate Professor in the School of Management at Yale University. Dr. Mason has a Ph.D. in East Asian Economic and Political History from Harvard University, and an M.A. degree in
International Economics, Statistics and Political Economy from Columbia University, School of International Affairs. |
