Larry K. Geisel is Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Knowledge Universe where he is responsible for developing and converging global information technology and business strategies, evaluating new business ventures and deploying internal resources for the development of technology based products and services.
Prior to joining Knowledge Universe, Geisel was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Netscape Communications, where he was responsible for all intranet, extranet, and internet IT at the fast-growing company. Prior to Netscape he was Executive Vice President of Global Solutions Delivery at Xerox, where he led a $750 million business renewal systems initiative.
Over the last 30 years Larry has been at the cutting-edge of information technology -- helping growing organizations to commercialize new technology and redefining how software is developed and deployed. He has successfully built four software firms from the ground up, rolled out several software products to the marketplace, assisted numerous client companies through difficult technology transitions and served as the CIO for a Fortune 50 firm. His management and entrepreneurial accomplishments were preceded by significant experiences in managing large software development projects and personally developing software (assemblers, compilers and operating systems).
He is widely sought after as a speaker for trade conferences and frequently quoted in trade and general business publications.
